Online ELTiS System Requirements

Each test taker will need a supported computer or tablet connected to the Internet and headphones or earphones. The test center/proctor is responsible for maintaining test security during testing. Ballard & Tighe provides free online training for test proctors.

Beta, developer, preview, and end-of-life operating systems and browsers are not supported. We recommend verifying the device, browser, audio, and Internet connection before administering the Online ELTiS.

 

Peripheral Equipment/Network/Security
Screen 10-inch or larger screen with a resolution of 1024 x 768 or higher recommended.
Speakers/Headphones/Earphones
  • Speakers are needed to listen to the audio throughout the Listening test and to hear instructions.
  • Headphones/earphones are recommended if multiple test takers are being tested simultaneously.
Webcam Optional (to take test taker's photo)
Internet For best experience, 1 Mbps recommended.
Browser Settings & Security JavaScript and cookies must be enabled. A secure connection using TLS 1.2 or higher is required.
Security
  • Devices must be secure so that the test taker does not have access to unauthorized websites and applications.
  • Bring your own device (BYOD) poses a range of security risks and is not permitted.
